Union Solar showcases full solar water heater portfolio at 2026 International Solar Exhibition, securing multiple orders
[Frankfurt, Germany] – Union Solar participated in the 2026 European Solar Exhibition held in Freiburg, Germany, where the company showcased its complete portfolio of solar water heating solutions. The exhibition, which coincides with the IEA SHC Solar Award 2026 announcements, attracted industry leaders, installers, distributors, and project developers from across Europe and beyond.
Union Solar's booth featured live demonstrations of:
1. Flat Plate Pressurized Series (150L-300L)
The flagship residential product line drew significant attention for its mains-pressure performance and sleek architectural integration. Visitors experienced firsthand the strong water flow and rapid recovery time that distinguish Union Solar's pressurized systems.
2. Sixth-Generation Non-Pressurized System
The "three-water-in-one" integrated design sparked considerable interest among distributors targeting the Asian market, where multifunctional appliances command premium positioning.
3. Split Pressurized Commercial Systems
Large-capacity configurations (300L-500L) with SR series intelligent controllers demonstrated Union Solar's capability to serve hotels, hospitals, and institutional clients.
4. DC Photovoltaic Water Heater
Aligning with the industry trend toward PV-thermal integration, Union Solar previewed its DC PV water heater prototype that operates without an inverter, using direct DC solar input with integrated MPPT. The system produces approximately 3 kWh/day of thermal energy and heats water to 65-85°C.
5. Intelligent Control Ecosystem
The full SR/TK controller series was displayed with interactive demos, highlighting features such as differential temperature control, frost protection, tank re-cooling, and remote monitoring.
During the three-day exhibition, Union Solar secured:
-
8 new distributor agreements across European markets
-
3 commercial project contracts totaling 5,000+ units
-
15,000-unit initial order from a Middle Eastern hospitality group
-
Strategic partnership with a German engineering firm for hybrid PVT development
"This exhibition validates our global strategy," said Union Solar's VP of International Business. "The market is clearly shifting toward systems that integrate solar thermal with other renewable technologies. Our product roadmap anticipates this convergence, and the customer response has been overwhelmingly positive."
Union Solar also presented a technical paper on "Multi-Energy Coupling Strategies for High-Altitude Solar Thermal Applications," sharing insights from the Tibet plateau project. The presentation was recognized as a finalist for the IEA SHC Solar Award 2026, highlighting Union Solar's growing thought leadership in the solar thermal industry.
